Northern Kafirkot


This site is located on the top of a hill in Khaiser range on the right bank of river Indus in D I Khan.


Area: 53.1Acres 548 Kanal 12 Marlas.


Ownership: State Land.


Notification No: Gazette of India No. 2 dated 8-1-1914.



Northern Kafir Kot is another important site of D I Khan. Like the Southern Kafir Kot here too a fort and temples are located are in ruined condition. Here fragments of a majestic fort are visible while large portions of the wall with few ruined bastions are still intact.

Along with it four temples are built of Kanjur stone in a distance from each other.

Furthermore, it can be stated that all the

Ruins located here are safe and sound while have damaged due to natural disasters.
